What a kitchen wrap actually is
A wrap is a tough, textured architectural film we bond over the surfaces you already own, with no demolition. If the carcasses and benchtops are still sound, there's no reason to pay to replace them. It's a real finish you can feel, not a sticker, and it reads as timber, stone or matte colour to the hand as well as the eye.
What we can wrap in your kitchen
Doors and drawer fronts
Lifted off, wrapped and rehung the same day, in any finish from timber to matte colour.
Panels, kickboards and ends
Island sides, pantry ends and kicks, so the whole run reads as one new kitchen.
Benchtops
A worn benchtop wrapped in a fresh stone or marble look, without a new slab. See benchtop wrapping.
Splashbacks and feature walls
Tie the finish together with wrapped splashback panels and nearby joinery.
Good to know
Will it peel? Not this.
Cheap DIY vinyl and vehicle film peel because they're the wrong material, badly prepped. We use premium architectural film rated for kitchens, prep the surface back to sound and smooth, and wrap the edges and reveals so moisture can't creep behind. It carries our ten year warranty and cleans with warm water and a soft cloth.
Questions
Common questions
- How long does a kitchen wrap take?
- Most kitchens are done in one to two days. There's no demolition, so you keep using the space the whole time. Stone fronts on Monday, dinner party on Wednesday.
- What surfaces can you wrap?
- Almost anything smooth and solid: laminate, melamine, MDF, timber veneer, metal, glass and painted joinery. Anything water damaged or crumbling is repaired or replaced first.
- How much cheaper is it than a new kitchen?
- Usually around 70% less, because the sound carcasses and benchtops stay put. A full refront starts near $2,400; a replacement kitchen is $15,000 and up.
- Do you service my area?
- We install right across Melbourne by appointment. Send photos and rough measurements and a fixed quote comes back within one business day.
