Stone protection film — SunTek
The clear film we lay over stone benchtops, islands and vanities.
SunTek, a professional-grade paint protection film (PPF) — the same clear, self-healing film trusted worldwide to protect car paint. It's a tough urethane layer about 0.2 mm (8 mil) thick with a hydrophobic top coat, laid over your stone so it takes the wear instead of the surface underneath.
Marble and honed stone etch the instant acid touches them, and kitchens are full of it — lemon, wine, vinegar, half the sprays under the sink. SunTek's HydroResist top coat is hydrophobic and chemically resistant, so acids, oils and cleaners bead up and wipe straight off the film instead of reaching your stone.
Yes. The top coat is self-healing — light scratches and swirl marks disappear on their own with a little warmth, from the sun or warm water. Deeper knocks are taken by the sacrificial film, not by your stone.
No, on almost every benchtop you can't tell it's there. It's optically clear and only about 0.2 mm thick, so it follows the surface and keeps the look of your stone.
It shrugs off everyday heat — hot mugs, plates, spills. But no film (and no stone) loves a pan straight off the stove, so a trivet is still a good habit for very high heat.
SunTek films carry manufacturer warranties of up to 10 years (up to 12 on the flagship line) against yellowing, cracking, peeling and delamination. On a busy benchtop expect many good years — and because the film is sacrificial, if it ever wears we simply peel it and lay a fresh piece.
Marble, granite, engineered and quartz stone, porcelain, timber and laminate — benchtops, islands, vanities, splashbacks and tabletops. If it's smooth and solid, it can usually be protected.
Yes, cleanly, without harming the stone underneath. If it's ever scuffed or you want it refreshed, we lift it and re-apply — a small fraction of what it costs to repolish or replace stone.
SunTek is UV-stable and non-yellowing, and we can use exterior-grade film for alfresco benchtops, BBQ surrounds and outdoor stone that copes with sun and weather.
Since engineered stone was banned in Australia (1 July 2024), natural stone is the default in new kitchens — more valuable and much harder to replace. Protecting it upfront costs a fraction of repolishing or replacing a benchtop.
Interior architectural wrap — Coverstyl®
Premium self-adhesive film that transforms surfaces without replacing them.
Coverstyl®, a premium self-adhesive architectural film — a PVC vinyl with a strong acrylic adhesive and an air-release backing for a smooth, bubble-free finish. We wrap it over your existing surfaces to change the look completely, without tearing anything out.
Almost any smooth, solid surface: kitchen cabinetry, doors and panels, wardrobes, benchtops, vanities, feature walls, ceilings, doors, joinery and shop fit-outs. We wrap the edges and reveals too, so it looks made, not covered.
Over 500 finishes across families — real-look wood grains, stone and concrete, brushed metals, leather, textiles, gloss and matte colours, even glitter. We bring physical samples so you choose in the hand, not off a screen.
Yes. Coverstyl is scratch-resistant, fully waterproof and built for hard-working interiors. Because we wrap the edges, water can't creep behind, so it's a natural fit for kitchens, bathrooms and laundries.
Yes — Coverstyl carries a Grade 1 fire rating to Australian standards and the adhesives are fire-certified, which makes it suitable for commercial and rental fit-outs as well as homes.
Just a wipe with a damp cloth. No waxing, no oiling, nothing to refinish — that's the whole point.
Coverstyl carries a 10-year warranty against cracking, yellowing, delamination and changes in appearance when it's fitted by trained applicators like us.
Yes. The film lifts cleanly off a sound surface, and we can re-wrap the same piece in a new finish down the track — a fraction of the cost and waste of replacing joinery.
Yes — we can wrap external doors and panels in one finish and interiors in another, so you can go two-tone or match an existing scheme exactly.
Fitting, quotes & warranty
Yes — we fit in your home across Melbourne, by appointment. There's no demolition and very little mess, so you keep using the space.
Protection film is often a single day. A wrapped kitchen is usually one to two days. Most rooms are back in use the same day.
Send a few photos and rough measurements through our online quote tool and we'll come back with a fixed price, usually within 48 hours. Prefer us to measure in person? Book a paid on-site visit — the fee comes straight off your job.
A 30% deposit confirms your booking and starts the work; the balance is due on completion.
Both SunTek and Coverstyl carry their own manufacturer warranties (up to 10 years), and we stand behind our workmanship on top of that.
