Privacy Policy

Matera Pty Ltd (“Matera”, “we”, “us”) is committed to protecting your personal information in accordance with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles.

What we collect

• Orders: name, email, phone, delivery address and order details, so we can make and deliver your pieces.
• Quote requests & newsletter: name, email, phone, suburb and project details you choose to share.
• Account: if you sign in, our authentication provider (Auth0) handles your credentials; we never see or store your password.
• Visualiser photos: photos you edit in paint mode never leave your device. If you use the optional AI transform, your photo is sent to Google's Gemini API to generate the preview and is handled under Google's API terms; we do not store it.
• Site usage: when you browse the site we collect standard technical data, including your IP address, device and browser type, and the pages you visit, through cookies and analytics tools (see below).

How we use it

• To fulfil orders, provide quotes and deliver services.
• To respond to enquiries and provide customer support.
• To send occasional updates if you subscribed, and every email includes an unsubscribe option.

Who we share it with

We use trusted service providers to run this site: Supabase (database hosting), Stripe (payment processing, we never see your full card number), Auth0 (sign-in), Google Gemini (optional AI previews), and Google Analytics and Google Ads (website measurement and advertising). We do not sell your personal information.

Cookies, analytics & advertising

We use cookies and similar technologies. Essential cookies keep the site working (for example, your cart and sign-in). We also use Google Analytics to understand how the site is used, and Google Ads, including remarketing, to measure our advertising and show relevant ads on other sites. These set cookies and collect usage data such as your IP address and the pages you view.

You can control or block cookies in your browser settings, opt out of Google Analytics with Google's browser add-on (tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout), and manage ad personalisation at adssettings.google.com. Blocking cookies may affect how some parts of the site work.

Storage & security

Data is stored with our providers using industry-standard encryption in transit and at rest. We keep order records as required for tax and warranty purposes.

Overseas disclosure

Some of our service providers (including Supabase, Stripe, Auth0 and Google) store or process data on servers outside Australia, such as in the United States and the European Union. Where we disclose your personal information overseas, we take reasonable steps to ensure it is handled consistently with the Australian Privacy Principles.

Direct marketing

We only send marketing emails if you have asked us to, and every one includes a one-click unsubscribe, in line with the Spam Act 2003 (Cth). You can opt out at any time.

Access, correction & complaints

You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal information at any time by contacting us at info@materahaus.com. If you believe we have breached the Australian Privacy Principles, you can complain to us first, and to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (oaic.gov.au) if unresolved.
